Elk Grove Park District Chooses PUREi To Develop New Website

Elk Grove Park District selected PUREi to develop their new website. Elk Grove Park District joins Batavia Park District, Dekalb Park District, Downers Grove Park District and Rolling Meadows Park District in partnering with PUREi to create outstanding website solutions for their organizations.

The new Elk Grove Park District website design embodies their brand and presents everything they offer their community in a fun, easy to use format. The entire site content and navigation was optimized for ease of use, and a resident-centric approach to browsing & finding information.

PUREi developed combo box drop down navigation to allow for visitors to easily find the facility or type of activity their looking for. Additionally, previous externally hosted micro-sites for various facilities were merged into the new site, utilizing sub-site navigation templates that maintained the park district brand while giving each facility sub-site its own branding and color scheme.

Additional custom features that were built into the site included a field and facility availability system that allows visitors to see which venues are free at any given time. For the parties and rentals pages, a customized data driven module was created to allow staff to easily manage and create new events based on preset fields and criteria. On the home page, the rotating marquee graphics and images can be set to have scheduled start and end dates, making management and seasonal changes easier than ever.

Like other park district sites PUREi has developed, Elk Grove's site has an interactive parks and facilities map where visitors can easily filter based on type of amenity.
